Driven by Design
Founded by Tony McAnally, MAC DESIGNS is a motorsport-inspired graphic design studio for drivers who refuse to blend in. We create custom vehicle wrap graphics and sim racing liveries that transform brands, race cars, and street vehicles into unforgettable designs—ready for professional production and installation.
Hi, I’m Tony McAnally. I’m the founder and creative director of Mac Designs Studio, a Houston based motorsport graphic design studio specializing in custom vehicle wrap design, motorsport liveries, and simulator graphics.
Motorsport isn’t just my inspiration, it’s my passion. From designing and racing liveries in sim racing to attending IMSA weekends, track days, and local automotive events, I live the culture that inspires every project. That firsthand connection to both virtual and real-world motorsports influences every line, color, and detail, resulting in designs that feel authentic on the street, dusty trails, in the paddock, and on the sim grid.
My Story
I’ve always been the kind of person who likes figuring out how things go together and then making them look better. Design has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.
I got my start in graphic design back in the early days of the internet, building websites before there were drag-and-drop editors or thousands of templates to choose from. One of my early projects was creating a website for Wings Over Houston Airshow, and from there I continued designing websites and graphics for local businesses whenever the opportunity came up.
Outside of work, I’ve always had several major interests: tech, aviation, and motorsports. In the 2000s, I spent time driving in local SCCA track days and the drag strip, which gave me an appreciation for the engineering, branding, and attention to detail that make race cars stand out. At the same time, I was always designing something—CAD drawings, house plans, graphics for friends’ companies, or whatever project caught my interest next.
Eventually that same passion carried over into sim racing. Like a lot of people, I started on console games before moving to a dedicated simulator. Once I had a sim rig, I wanted more than just driving someone else’s paint scheme—I wanted to create my own.
At first I challenged myself by recreating real-world race liveries as accurately as I could. It was a great way to improve my skills while learning what makes professional motorsport graphics work. Before long, other drivers started asking for custom designs, then racing leagues, and eventually small businesses and sim racing software developers.
That progression is what led to Mac Designs Studio.
Today I combine more than 30 years of design experience with a lifelong passion for motorsports to create custom vehicle wrap graphics, race liveries, branding, and simulator graphics. Whether the project is going on a street vehicle, a race car, or a virtual one, I approach every design the same way: start with a blank canvas, understand what makes the client unique, and create something that looks like it belongs there—not something that came from a template.
The best part of this work is seeing an idea become something real. Whether it’s a wrapped truck driving down the highway or a race car taking the green flag, there’s nothing better than watching a design leave the screen and come to life.
